AgilOne hosted our second Predict! Summit on Monday in New York City at the infamous Bumble and bumble salon with sprawling views of the Manhattan skyline.
The event was unique in that it was split into two parts. In the morning we brought together creative agencies to learn more about the importance of using data to drive campaigns. In the afternoon retail and eCommerce executives came together to learn more about how predictive analytics software can reduce margins, increase revenue, personalize marketing and delight customers.
In the morning we heard from speakers Elizabeth Cannon from Fashion Collective and Julian Chu, from Castanea Partners, who spoke about helping their partner, Donald J Pliner to become more data-driven in their marketing.
In the afternoon we hosted two panels with representatives from The Body Shop, Lafayette 148, Donald J Pliner, Shazam, TigerDirect and Blinds.com. Some memorable quotes from our panelists included:
"[With customer analytics] we learned how much we are spending, we know how many customers we are getting through retail and ecommerce and we know when we should be dialing back based on our customers. "
"Every touchpoint you have with your customers should be consistent and monitored. "
"The industry is changing. You have companies who started doing [data analysis] at the beginning getting marketing awards while older companies are still transitioning and need to get there faster. "
"Everything we do has to be attached to some sort of analysis."
The evening ended with networking over cocktails as people exchanged success stories and plans for how to improve their marketing. It was a wonderful and productive evening in New York.
